About CDPH
CDPH public health professionals, scientists, doctors, nurses, and other administrative staff have a shared vision to protect and improve the health of all Californians. The 200+ programs administered by CDPH provides a wide range of services including, but not limited to, providing food vouchers and nutrition education for women, infants, and children; monitoring the safety of our food and water supplies; screening newborns for metabolic orders; helping ensure patients are receiving quality health care in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes; and encouraging Californians to quit smoking.
